Privacy notice
Who I am
Schofield Development is run by me, Tom, in Lancashire. I’m responsible for the details you send through this site. You can reach me at tom@schofield.dev.
What I collect
What you enter in the contact form: the things you tick, anything you write, your name and email address, and your phone number if you ask for a call.
Why
To reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering a message you chose to send), or taking steps you’ve asked for before a contract.
Who else handles it
My hosting provider, which runs the server the form sends to, and my email delivery provider, which passes your enquiry on to me.
How long I keep it
Up to 12 months from when you send it, unless we start working together.
What I don’t do
This site sets no cookies and has no tracking or analytics. While you fill in the form, a draft of your answers to its first three steps is kept in your browser’s session storage, so it survives a page reload. It never includes your name, email address or phone number, and it’s cleared when you send the form or close the tab. IP addresses are held in memory for up to an hour to stop abuse, and are never written to disk.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how I use it, by emailing tom@schofield.dev. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
